Unlimited Painting

· 3601 W 85th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57108, USA

I've driven past the strip near 85th and Western a hundred times — that stretch where Sioux Falls sprawls west and everything feels newer, a little raw still. Unlimited Painting works out of there, and I finally called them when the trim around my dining room windows started looking like something from a rental I lived in during college.

The guy who came out didn't oversell it. He walked the rooms, ran his hand along the baseboards where the cat had scratched, said "yeah, we can fix that." No tablet, no slick presentation — just a guy with paint under his fingernails who knew what primer actually does. They scheduled me two weeks out, which felt honest. Good crews are booked.

When they showed up, it was early. I mean early enough that I was still in my robe, coffee half-made. They laid down drop cloths that actually stayed put, taped edges I didn't even know you were supposed to tape. The lead painter told me they'd been doing residential work around Sioux Falls for years — a lot of it in the older neighborhoods near McKennan Park and Whittier, where walls have texture and history and you can't just slap anything up.

What they don't do — and I asked — is commercial exteriors or big multi-story stuff. They're a residential crew, and they stick to it. But for interiors, cabinets, accent walls, the kind of refresh that makes you remember why you bought the house in the first place, they move fast and clean.

My dining room dried two shades lighter than the sample, but they came back and adjusted it without the defensiveness I've gotten from other contractors. That's the part that stuck with me — not perfection, but the willingness to make it right.
